What validations does a charity complete to receive tax deductible donations through the Good2Give Workplace Giving platform?

When registering a charity to received tax deductible donations from the Good2Give Workplace Giving platform, the minimum details that are required from a charity entity are:

Australia

  • Charity Name
  • ABN
  • Valid Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
  • Recipient bank account details for the same DGR status charity entity
  • Primary contact
  • Address
  • Cause Area

New Zealand

  • Charity Name
  • NZBN
  • Valid Donee Status
  • Recipient bank account details for the same Donee status entity
  • Primary contact
  • Address
  • Cause Area

All details need to be visually checked and validated by the Good2Give Charity Team with a quarterly re-validation of tax status completed.

In order to display the charities profile on the Workplace Giving platform, additional information about the charity will be required, such as:

  • Logo, promotional images and branding colours
  • Charity description and mission statement
  • Charity projects if applicable
  • Size of entity

Non-Tax Deductible charity recipients

If a NFP entity is only registered on the Good2Give platform to enable corporate clients to participate in volunteering activities or make volunteer matching donations, a valid DGR status is not required in Australia.
