How do I promote an Appeal?

Appeals can be for any cause such as disasters or emergencies, supporting charity partners or fundraising.

To promote your appeal, gain internal support and sign-off from all stakeholders such as senior leadership and your communications team.

Choose who you are promoting the appeal to. For example, is it a specific team or the whole organisation?

Tips for driving engagement

  • have your organisation provide additional fund matching
  • if available, use dollar handles in your communication to increase engagement, such as '$30 will provide X , $50 will supply Y'  
  • enlist your internal community champions to promote the appeal.

Don't forget to celebrate the outcome of your appeal with a story on the impact of the appeal in the community!
